The 2013 Bangladesh Premier League season, abbreviated
as BPL 2 or BPL 2013, will be the second season of the Bangladesh
Premier League, established by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in
2012. The opening and closing ceremonies will be held Shere Bangla
National Stadium, Mirpur. The tournament will begin on 18 January 2013
and end on 22 February 2013.
This time there are Seven teams in BPL session 2 named as Dhaka
Gladiators, Sylhet Royals, Barisal Burners, CTG King, Duronto Rajshahi,
Khulna Royal Bengals, & Rangpur Riders. All of 2013 Bpl 2 cricket
match will be Broadcaster TV partner Channel 9 & Channel 9 UK.
The minimum bidding price for each franchise is $1 million. The
franchise owners are now in possession of the franchise for six years
and can only sell it after three years.
In the second edition of BPL, Rangpur Riderswas the seventh team to enter the tournament.

The highest wicket taker will win the purple cap for being the top wicket-taking bowler while the highest run scorer will win the orange cap for leading run-scorer in the tournament. Best young player will be awarded the best under-19 player award and the special award for Fair Play will be won by the team who will play most fairly throughout the tournament.
Venues-
A total of 33 matches will be held including the final in this tournament. 25 matches will be played in Dhaka and the remaining 8 matches will be held in Chittagong.

Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangladesh allrounder, fetched the highest price,
going for $US 365,000. However, the amount was almost half of what
Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistan captain, was sold for when the
Twenty20 tournament was launched in February 2012. Imran Nazir, the
Pakistani opener, was commanded the second-highest price tag, going for
$US 280,000 with Afridi close behind at $US 275,000, while more than a
dozen foreign players went for over $US 100,000.

Player signings:
The first signing and auction of players for the 6 teams was held on 19 January at Hotel Radisson in Dhaka
Bangladesh. The team auction was held on 10 January 2012. Each
franchise was allowed to sign a total of 10 local players & 8
foreign players and can play up to 5 foreign players in each match. Each
franchise also have one domestic icon player in their team.Pakistan's Shahid Afridi was the priciest among the players bought for $700,000 by Dhaka Gladiators. West Indian superstar Chris Gayle was bought by Barisal Burners for $551,000. Young Bangladeshi star Nasir Hossain was the priciest among local players bought by Khulna Royal Bengal
for $200,000. The icon players of each team will get $210,000 which is
5% more than the highest paid local player Nasir Hossain.
