William Bradley "Brad" Pitt (born December 18, 1963) is an American actor and film producer. Pitt has received two Academy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations, winning one. He has been described as one of the world's most attractive men, a label for which he has received substantial media attention.
Following a high-profile relationship with actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Pitt was married to actress Jennifer Aniston for five years. Pitt lives with actress Angelina Jolie in a relationship that has generated wide publicity.
He and Jolie have six children—Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne. Since beginning his relationship with Jolie, he has become increasingly involved in social issues both in the United States and internationally.
Pitt owns a production company named Plan B Entertainment, whose productions include the 2007 Academy Award winning Best Picture, The Departed.
Pitt appeared in two episodes of MTV's reality series Jackass in February 2002, first running through the streets of Los Angeles with several cast members in gorilla suits, and participating in his own staged abduction in another episode. In the same year, Pitt had a cameo role in George Clooney's directorial debut Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.
He took on his first voice-acting roles in 2003, lending his voice to the titular character of the DreamWorks animated film Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas and playing Boomhauer's brother, Patch, in an episode of the animated television series King of the Hill.
He voiced the superhero character Metro Man in the 2010 animated feature Megamind. Pitt appeared in Terrence Malick's drama The Tree of Life, co-starring Sean Penn, which won the Palme d'Or at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.

The actor has been promoting his new movie Moneyball and has done several television and magazine chats recently.
But he has apparently turned down the opportunity to speak to the acerbic late night talk show host who has also made rude jokes about his partner Angelina Jolie in the past.
"Chelsea would love to have had Brad on her show," an insider told The Huffington Post.
"She's had some of the biggest stars in the world on her show to promote their films. She's had Gwyneth Paltrow visit and even Jennifer Aniston, but Brad said no way."
Moneyball opened up in theatres this past weekend and had a strong box office start with $20.7 million in earnings but he seemingly felt he did not need the extra publicity from Handler.
"It would have been great if he had agreed to do an interview with Jen's best friend Chelsea," the source added.
"If he's still as good friends with Jen as he says then he would have done E!"
"If he's still as good friends with Jen as he says then he would have done E!"
"He's full of it and Chelsea knows it. That's why he wouldn't talk with her, he doesn't have the balls."
However, after Handler lambasted Jolie during her standup routine in December 2010, it is perhaps not surprising that Pitt did not want to speak to her.
"She can rescue as many babies from as many countries as she wants to," Handler said last year. "I don't f**king believe you."
